This grape tomato plant was purchased in late spring at Robbie’s Produce Farmer’s Market in Vestal, NY. Oil on canvas, 11×14 inches. The extreme sun and heat this summer have certainly challenged these plants. According to Robbie, the plants are like people — you need to develop a feel for how much sun and water is too much.
