How to Make a Post and Attach Images!

Welcome to this forum! Here are the steps to make an actual post.

STEPS FOR MAKING A POST
1. Enter your post title up above, where it says: Topic Title (maximum length 80)
2. Type your message within this text box.
3. Enter two-three topic tags within the box below called: Topic Tags
4. Topic Type should be “Normal”, and topic status should be left as “open”.
5. To add an image from your desktop, click on “Choose File”, located at the bottom left, and then navigate to the folder on your computer or thumbdrive where your images are located. Click on the images that you want to attached, and then click on the red-orange “SUBMIT” located at lower right-hand corner. By clicking on the “submit” button both your images and message will be posted.

STEPS FOR CREATING A LINK
1. Type the text in this box that you want to have become a link, and then drag your cursor over it to highlight it in blue. cursor.
2. This text is my link: SUNYBroome Community College
3. Click on the LINK button above.
4. Copy and paste the web address (URL) that you want to link to into the box that pops up.
5. Click submit button at the bottom.

OTHER POST OPTIONS
1. To edit your post after it has been made, just click “EDIT”, which is located along the upper-right in light gray. Remember to click the “SUBMIT” button after editing your post!
2. To bold your text just highlight the text that you want to make bold and then click on the red-orange “B” button up top!
3. To make your text italicized, just highlight with your cursor what you want to make italics, and click the “I” located up above!

MAKING IMAGES APPEAR IN YOUR MESSAGE FROM OTHER WEBSITES
If you would like an image from another website to appear within your actual message, all you need to do is navigate to the web address of that image, and then copy and paste the web address into the box that appears when you click on “IMG” up above. As an example:
1. Locate an image within GOOGLE IMAGES. For an example, I just located an image of a glass of water with a lemon slice that I painted a while back. The web address withing GOOGLE images is: http://i1.ytimg.com/vi/feLiqgU7Puo/hqdefault.jpg
2. All you need to do is highlight the web address, right click your mouse, and then copy the address.
3. If you want to make an image appear from a blog (i.e blogger, WordPress, Tulblr) or a FACEBOOK photo album, you need to place your mouse cursor over top of the image, rick click your mouse, and click on “copy image URL”
4. Next, click on “IMG” up above and a long box will pop up above.
5. Click in the box, right click your mouse, and paste the web address (image URL) that you had copied into this long box. Then click on OK!
6. Next, enter the name of the image, and click OK once again.
7. Lastly, just click on SUBMIT and the image will appear in your message.
